Established in 2018, The Joint-BBQ, Wings & More is a locally-owned barbecue spot built on family, tradition, and a shared love for good food, good music, and genuine Southern hospitality. From day one, a few simple things have guided everything we do:
Honoring the generations before us, serving our community well, delivering high-quality food, and making every guest feel right at home.
OWNERS ALLISON & JARED CHOATE
Owned and operated by Allison and Jared Choate, The Joint is truly a family affair. Allison, a former Registered Dietitian with a lifelong dream of owning her own restaurant, and Jared, a former teacher turned entrepreneur and Master Plumber in the family business, both bring deep roots—and deep passion—for the community they've always called home.
Between Allison’s years waiting tables through high school and college, and Jared’s early days working in a local barbecue joint, the Choates are no strangers to the grind. Drawing from generations of cherished family recipes and food traditions, those roots come to life in every detail- from Gamaw’s BBQ Sauce, Granny’s Coleslaw, to our signature homemade dry rub, perfected over time. Every recipe tells a story, and every bite comes from a place of love and legacy.
Just like at Gamaw, Granny and Papa’s house, The Joint’s tables are always open - meant for sharing, good fellowship, and making memories with new and old friends alike. While we take our smoked meats seriously (and do them right), The Joint has always been about more than barbecue. It’s about feeding people well and making them feel like family.
Inspired by country music and deep Southern roots - especially the grit, soul and authenticity of Eric Church - we serve food with heart, bold flavor, and just the right amount of smoke.
